The Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, officially designated as the Western Peripheral Expressway, is a 135.6-kilometre, six-lane access-controlled highway forming a semi-circular ring around the western periphery of Delhi. Beyond decongesting traffic, it has become a powerful catalyst for industrial and logistics development across IMT Manesar, IMT Sohna, IMT Kharkhoda and Reliance MET City.

Route and connectivity near Gurgaon

The expressway traverses Manesar, Pachgaon, Reliance MET City, Taoru and Sohna, spanning Sonipat, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Nuh and Palwal districts — making Gurugram a central beneficiary of its connectivity.

Reliance MET City (Jhajjar)

Developed by Model Economic Township Limited, a Reliance Industries subsidiary, this integrated project spans over 8,000 acres with direct access via the KMP Farrukhnagar and Badli interchanges. MET City is designated a Japan Industrial Township, hosting Panasonic, Denso and T-Suzuki, alongside Nihon Kohden and South Korea's Deerfos and Boditech Med. It caters to manufacturing, logistics, auto components, electronics, FMCG, footwear, plastics and medical devices.

The wider corridor

  • IMT Manesar: a mature automotive and auto-component powerhouse on NH-48 near the Pachgaon interchange.
  • IMT Kharkhoda: roughly 3,306 acres, anchored by a large Maruti Suzuki manufacturing plant.
  • Farrukhnagar: a major warehousing and logistics cluster serving e-commerce and 3PL operations.
  • IMT Sohna: about 1,500 acres with a 500-acre Electronics Manufacturing Cluster.

Reliance MET City serves as a prime example of integrating both industrial and logistics components within a single, large-scale development, with the KMP Expressway acting as the connective tissue linking these interdependent hubs.
